Guy and I spent this past Saturday in Estes Park, Colorado. I've been out to Estes Park a handful of times throughout my childhood and it was so much fun to take Guy to a place that is filled with so many fun memories. We chose to hike the Emerald Lake Trail in Rocky Mountain National Park (about a 15-minute drive from Estes Park), which was about a 4-mile round-trip hike. I hiked this trail twice as a child with my family and the views were just as spectacular as I remember. The photos won't do it justice so you'll just have to plan your own trip out soon!
I could not have asked for a more spectacular and refreshing day! The beauty of this place is simply breathtaking and deserving of our awe.
This has definitely gone down as a highlight of 2013. We can't wait to share more of our adventures here in Colorado with all of you following along.
What adventures have you been on lately? Any places you're traveling to this summer?
