Our Story // Finding the Sweet Spot

130805_OurStory I’ve strayed from sharing ‘too much’ about our personal lives here on becomingbryn. I think you’ve probably already noticed I speak vaguely about our careers, family, and life decisions.

But as I read other blogs I’m struck by their willingness to open up their lives in order to encourage others, develop relationships, and be a positive influence in a space with so many voices. They’re not sharing to make much of themselves, but to make much of Him. Some women who do this really well are Naptime Diaries, Flower Patch Farmgirl, and Casey Leigh. They’ve found that sweet spot where they’re able to share what’s most important in their lives while maintaining healthy boundaries on the parts of life that are meant to remain quiet.

I’m learning so much from these women about having an online presence. And if it’s okay with you all, I’d like to share more in the future about our careers, family, and life decisions.

I’ll probably start small as I engage the boundaries of what I should share and what should remain quiet.

For today, I’ll leave you with a quick peak into our life right now.

We’re in this crazy strange (it's a good strange) season of raising our financial support so we can report to our ministry location. As soon as that’s finished we’ll be moving to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. And with that move, we’ll both begin our full-time jobs in college student ministry with the organization, Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ).

We have entirely unpredictable schedules, multiple moves on the horizon as we plan for our final move to Milwaukee, and through all of it continue to witness God provide a sense of calm in the chaos.

I hope you’ll be encouraged to hear our story. I desire for you to come to this space to be encouraged, to feel open to share your own lives, build relationships, and together be a great influence for Him.  Most importantly, I’m praying that this blog is a place that does not make much of myself, but makes much of Him.
