Day 16 // What is True

131016_Eph1 What is true of our Identities? If we are being freed from all the lies we are believing about expectations, what is truly truth?

I've been wrestling with these questions, feeling inadequate to answer them. And then, I read Ephesians. Ephesians was a letter written by the Apostle Paul to the Gentile Churches in and around Ephesus. In the letter, Paul outlines our positional truths and how we relate as the body of the church. The letter reveals that our lives are meant to be lived IN CHRIST and our purpose is to GLORIFY GOD. Just take a peek at Ephesians 1:3-8. List everything that you see is true of your identity?

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed YOU with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because YOU are united with Christ.

Even before he made the world, God loved YOU and chose YOU in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.

God decided in advance to adopt YOU into his own family by bringing YOU to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.

So you praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on YOU who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased YOUR freedom with the blood of His Son and forgave YOUR sins. He has showered his kindness on YOU, along with all wisdom and understanding.

Ephesians 1:3-8

If you have time, I encourage you to read through the whole book of Ephesians. Replace where you see "he, she, we, them, they, etc" with "YOU". I'd love to here what you uncover in your time! I've been overwhelmed by the truth God has laid out before me and humbled that I so easily fall prey to the lies.
